Parents & age rating

Life Empire is a business simulation about car trading. Here is what parents should know about content, chat, purchases and settings.

Age rating

Apple calculates the age rating from our answers about the game; it is shown on the Life Empire page in the App Store. Reasons for the rating:

• Mild cartoon violence: in the Crash Arena and the Chaos Cup, vehicles use power-ups against each other. Only vehicles are hit – no people, no blood.
• Chat and player content: online there is chat, voice chat, and player names, mottos and profile photos of other players.
• Not included: gambling, loot boxes, swear words in our own texts, alcohol, tobacco or drugs.

The online features are intended for players aged 16 and over; younger players may use them only with parental consent (see the terms of use).

Chat, voice chat and profiles

• An automatic filter holds back insults, links and contact details.
• Every chat line and every profile has "Report" and "Block". A human reviews reports; several reports in a short time automatically mute a player temporarily.
• Under Account & privacy you decide who may contact you and whether others can see that you are online.
• Voice chat only runs when the microphone is switched on in the game and the iPhone has allowed it. We do not record it. Blocked players cannot hear you.
• Players pick profile photos from their own library; we remove location and other metadata. We can remove inappropriate pictures and names.
• Without internet there are no other people in the game. Chat and leaderboard are then filled by AI traders labelled as AI.

Purchases

• Life Empire contains optional in-app purchases (money packs, bundles, gems). Payment is through Apple; prices are shown in the App Store. What is available is listed under Purchases & gems.
• On the iPhone, in-app purchases can be blocked in the settings under Screen Time. With Apple's Family Sharing, children's purchases can be tied to a purchase request that parents approve.
• Nothing is random: packs have fixed amounts. In-game money and gems have no value outside the game.

Ads

Ads only come as optional videos for the offline bonus – no banners, no interstitial ads. Before the first ad, the game asks for consent; without it there are only non-personalised ads. You can also play without any videos. Ad content is limited to the "T" rating (teen, 13 and over). More in the privacy policy.

Playing time

With the iPhone's Screen Time you can set time limits for apps. In the game, your business keeps working for up to 8 hours even when nobody is playing – so there is no need to be online all the time.

Account and data

We only collect what the game needs; details are in the privacy policy. The account can be deleted in the game at any time: Delete account.
